Hello! I’m Catherine Blake Smith, aka the cbs network.
I am a theatremaker, curator, and marketer with a passion for producing live, one-of-a-kind performance and events in socially equitable contexts. My current adventure takes me to the University of Glasgow, where I am pursuing a Masters of Literature in Playwriting & Dramaturgy. I’m a strong artistic consultant, experienced dramaturg, a compassionate copyeditor, detail-oriented project manager, enthusiastic strategic planner with a keen eye for graphic design, and an effective facilitator.
Before moving to Glasgow, I produced more than fifty new plays with local theatre companies including Annex Theatre, Seattle’s longest-operating fringe theatre, where I was Artistic Director for three years. In addition to my theatre practice, I’ve worked for nonprofits and tech companies where I’ve supported professional web and branding projects. In my spare time, I love seeing new art and performance, cooking, and cycling.
